A permanent public artwork consisting of sculptures, a landscaped garden in front of a hospital entrance and glass corridors with coloured ceilings connecting some buildings at the garden’s rear. Through discussion with the architect of the building, I came up with the key theme of ‘the fluctuation of life’, and attempted to create each element so that the entire scenery reminds visitors of the ‘circulation of the universe’. In contrast to the beautiful straight lines of the buildings, I decided to plant green in the courtyard following a curved line. The mirror sculptures in the wave form floating on the green represent water and life. For the colour of the ceiling of the glass corridors, I adopted the gradation of green of the earth to blue of the cosmos. The colour of the corridors facing to the west gradually merges into the evening sky at sunset. The lights installed between the plants are connected to the small lamps in the corridors which visually blend with the stars in the sky.
