The exhibition “石の旅、山　The journey of stones, mountain” is about the history of Idar-Oberstein in Germany where was called a gem center of Europe since the late 14th century. And even today big gem dealers are active and good cutters are working there. We can find gemstones (not enough quality for jewelry) from all over the world on the side of Nahe river. Because old cutters factories were built next river for using water power and cutters had threw away not good quality gems into the river. I inspired by the unique regional history and situation and create this video work.
